Checked out OK, but could not commit, an error message saying
cannot find pre-commit filter (followed by a path to cvs_acls)

Did you manage to commit?

And I just managed to import and commit to a different project, so
I am not sure why I can't commit to csound5. Perhaps it's something
to do with them moving the module from the old server.

cvs -z9 -d :pserver:anonymous@csound.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/csound
checkout -P csound5
cvs checkout: warning: failed to open /home/lj/.cvspass for reading: No
such file or directory
can't create temporary directory /tmp/cvs-serv10989
Too many links

Yep, I saw the same thing on another sf.net mailing list. Posted
a message and it took about 18 hours to make it to the list.

Open Source and Free Software means that you never sacrifice quality
of the code for meeting deadlines set up by people not participating
