Agreed this looks slamming! Good to see Christopher Ariza getting amongst it. Downloading now... But Summer? it was 0 degrees here last night - probably even colder in David W's backyard... ; ) I'm just getting back to rehashing my csound code after a bit of a break. made about half an hours worth of music over last 6 weeks - dload on mp3 from my website ( www.phasetransitions.net ) if you want to hear it. (Don't ask me what's up with the mouseovers) only a smattering of csound but it's in there (evolving upper partial textures, some pvoc & the odd stochastic spray) all python "generated" compositions at their core - in terms of throwing up some pitch classes & doing some basic operations on them anyway... this is kind of a mission statement - hoping to now consolidate some of my csound code ideas & to place more sonic emphasis thereupon going forward.... but great to actually make some music again for a change, & i think & hope some of you may like it... Im creating a bridge between some of my nuttier Python ideas & laying out basic MIDI in cubase using the mf2t.exe & t2mf.exe applications on windows - Oeyvind pointed them out to me a while back, & i really recommend them to anyone looking to do algorithmic massaging on their sequence data using MIDI / python / csound & wanting to convert things to & fro as a basic methodology (which i've adopted for the mo) http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/mf2t/download.shtml probably old hat to a lot of you, but it really opened up a lot of doors for me so i recommend now to anyone who hasnt heard of them & who's on windows... Thanks Steven - your encouragement to my code & my music has always been welcomed, & thanks for your part in continuing the journal. I'm not sure my tracks constitute "official csound music" however - so as long as there is some csound component up it goes on the feed? What if someone ends up wrestling with csound for years because they liked my absynth & garritan sounds! ; ) I've been thinking a little bit about trying blue again - any chance that the "breakpoint lanes" could handle transseg as well as straight lines / trajectories at any stage? not crucial, but would be another selling point to me personally....
