The binaries we have built are beta, so I suppose Michael can just
add his to them, we can have a beta run, then if everything is
OK, we re-tag, re-build and re-lease.

We will need for instance to fix the bformenc opcode, which is
broken (I have a fix, but have not committed). And I discovered
one linking issue in the OSX beta package that I need to fix
before the full release.

Victor,

Please check also that the 5.08 manual is part of the OSX packages.
For some reason, when I installed an earlier 5.08 set on my mac,
the 5.07 manual was in the application support folder.
