If the search is to include the location of .orc and .sco, in which order? ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? It certainly depends on why you are searching. Personally, I can see using the same orc with many scores but I would usually not do the opposite. Therefore the score seems more "specific" to a run than the orc to me, and I would search the score's location first in most circumstances. If it helps: In the data sonification I'm doing, the score tends to be generated once and the orc swapped/adjusted many times as the user searches for an appropriate rendering. - drw On 19/10/2006, at 6:32 AM, Anthony Kozar wrote: > It certainly depends on why you are searching. I am still not sure that I agree with the majority (as is historically the case) but I changed winsound to chdir to the directory of the .csd/.orc file if it is an absolute address. I suspect I have got this wrong on Windows in some cases but this is closest to how I think it should be done that I can manage before breakfast. I still think this is a frontend issue and not a core one. ==John ffitch ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? what about search paths on the Csound Lib. Would it be possible to add the CSD,ORC and SCO (if different) paths to the search?
