BTW, you can announce the beta after Michael posts the Windows packages.  I
am going to wait for the final release before making a MacOS 9 package.  I
don't have a lot of time this week and I think it is better for me to use
what time I have improving the much-neglected OS 9 front end.

No; it means that I hope that the sources will not change.  Since then
there have been changed in SConstruct, text.h and sysdep.h, as Michael
is changing compiler.  I was expecting to have to recreate all those
files -- why I never saw the advantage in a beta release anyway.
