I think this is licensed by Creative Commons as it is part of a big package http://ccmixter.org/olpc-berklee-sample-pool
I might be wrong, though.

Hi,

While working with the Csound5.17.6 sources, I came across the
soundfont in the 'samples' directory. This seems quite nice -- and
nice and small!  Can I assume this is freely distributable?
Haiku includes fluidsynth in its distribution, but we never managed to
find a compact default soundfont (our best was 5.72MB) so this might
make a good candidate.

I also noticed that, despite its size, it's rather more than a "GM" font.
It has quite a selection of other banks besides the General Midi bank 0.
Where did you find it?

Thanks,

IN debian we strip the vintageDreamWaves sf2 because we didn't know where it came from.

The GMbank file lists public domain in its license field.
