Hi,

While working with the Csound5.17.6 sources, I came across the
soundfont in the 'samples' directory. This seems quite nice -- and
nice and small!  Can I assume this is freely distributable?
Haiku includes fluidsynth in its distribution, but we never managed to
find a compact default soundfont (our best was 5.72MB) so this might
make a good candidate.

I also noticed that, despite its size, it's rather more than a "GM" font.
It has quite a selection of other banks besides the General Midi bank 0.
Where did you find it?
