| Yes, it well be. However the quality of the 3-D rendering depends by the
audio card hardware and DirectSound3D drivers. At present time the SB
Live! card can handle up to 32 streams of audio each one representing a
different sound source displaced in the aural space. Microsoft's
DirectSound3D API provide high level control of positioning of each
sound source and of the listener orientation.
The interesting thing is hardware acceleration of last generation of
audio cards, which allow all this job be done in realtime, with very low
cost of computer processor time.
