| I, for one, agree with the [csound] proposal. I belong to five or six different
lists and only one (the sursound list)uses this sensible policy. All subject
headings start with [sursound]. All browsers that I am aware of support sorting
mail by subject. The payoff comes every couple of weeks when my (netscape)
mailbox has grown to more than 1000 messages and a clean-up is in order. The 100
or so messages from the surround-list can be classified with a single click and
a drag/drop into a folder. For all the other lists, one has to resort to a
combination of "by sender" & "by subject" to get the right stuff at the right
place.
The [csound] title header is a good idea. It only requires eight additional
characters and is of tremendous help for filing. The inconvenience: for it to
work everybody has to do it. Ha! fat chance of that happening with a bunch of
whinny sorry-assed curmmudgeons the likes of you all here.
...grumph..
