  Sometimes the actual event just dosn't record well. I remember reading
an interview
with the creators of the game "Mist." They said they really had a hard
time coming up with the
sound of fire in a fireplace. The real thing just didn't work. Finally
they found that a recording
of a car rolling over gravel in a parking lot worked perfectly...
