.......is it OK to peep out now?

First let me say how touched I was by all those nice messages; it
cheered me up a great deal to feel that it is worthwhile. On the
other hand as Jean and Larry noticed it was rather embarassing, and I
have been somewhat afraid to intrude.

I do think however that will we are in a congratulatory mood there are
others who have not got anything like the credit they deserve for
3.47. I am not going to start another round of "thank you"s I hope,
but there are a number of other names who had a strong influence,
apart from the obvious ones like Jean, Dave and Gabrielle. I am also
not going to list them all, as they should know who they are, and they
are mainly regular posters to this list. Bug reports, defficiency
reports and so on are the life-blood of this development. Ideas for
ways to improve things are always welcome, even if not always acted
on! If I tried to list everyone I know I would miss someone.

I do however what to place on record my thanks to two people; firstly
Barry Vercoe, who gave me a bundle of code and fixes -- I suspect that
people do not realise how much Barry still does on Csound for us all.
The other person I wish to embarass is Richard Boulanger. He is
responsible for the Perry Cook opcodes in Csound. He bullied me into
doing it despite me saying that it would take months (it actually took
less than I said), and discussed it with Perry. He arranged other
opcodes from various people, kicked me to fix various things, and has
worked day and night (litterally at times for those of you who know
him!) on getting this version out. Thanks for all the work you made
me do! And I have not forgotten the other things I said I could do
and have not yet......

So, having said that, now is the time to look forward to what needs to
be done, and to using it.
