I have no problem playing quad sound using my AudioWerk8 on Win95.  All I have to do is split the quad file into 4 mono files then I can use the VMR program which comes with the card to play them back simultaneously.   However it is a little annoying not to be able to just play a quad file straight up.

As has been mentioned, the multimedia driver for the AW8 is only stereo at this time, but on top of that I have not seen a standard multimedia program that supports playback of quad sound files anyway.  Also, real time support for quad audio from within Csound would be nice, but I think that is a matter of having a quad sound driver and not a matter of altering Csound.
