| Unless the FOF soundfiles are already at peak amplitude, this sounds
more like a bug in Deck. From what other people have said, variously,
this is not too surprising. Is the result actually clipped, or is there
some other form of distortion going on?
One problem with FOF-like sounds is that the peak level can be very
different from the rms or power level, so that though it is full-scale,
it does not ~sound~ very loud. Thus it may be quite easy to push such a
sound beyond the peak level.
