how do you get that 72-point value? ... 33*2 + 12/2 maybe ? ;-)

asig in     ; get external audio
dsamp   octdown   asig, 6, 180, 0  ; downsample in 6 octaves
wsig1    noctdft   dsamp, .02, 12, 33, 0, 1, 1 ; and calc 72-point dft
(dB)

If I use wsig1 to get the overall strength using specsum, is it someway
equivalent to the original signal amplitude? in db?
