What you mean is how badly I had got it wrong before! The console mode program is still faster as it is not trying to maintain an interface. If/when I understand Windows better I might use threads. |

Why do you even care about a winblows version anyway? =) I thought all serious people already learned that if you happen to have a PC, you should run Linux, not windows! :) // Anders (ps. Don't reply on this mail, as we don't want to see this list turned into a "my computer is better than yours" list.. :D) |

Show me a sound card that has at least eight channels analog I/O. One that I can gang together up to 32 channels. One that I can use under Linux. One that works under Linux on an Alpha. I just want to get some work done, okay. I would love to get it done on my AlphaServer TurboLasers at work. 8 625MHz CPU, 8GB RAM, Terabytes of Ultra SCSI RAID 5, lips be smackin' now. Oh, but then I'd need a Linux that worked on TLaser. So, it looks like maybe the AS 4100 w 4 625's, 6GB RAM, and only 72Gb Ultra RAID 5. Got Linux for that, just no bleepin' sound...... Are you offering your services for the porting job on all this? I'm Live Serious on this one, bud. ;-) Ricardo MadGello Out & About.. . . . . . . . > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-csound-outgoing@maths.ex.ac.uk > [mailto:owner-csound-outgoing@maths.ex.ac.uk]On Behalf Of Anders > Andersson > Why do you even care about a winblows version anyway? =) > |
