I finally have.  And it works.  :)

Now, for those who are interested, I had time to do one benchmark.  I
have seen a message posted on this list with someone asking for
benchmarks.  I can't remember who it was but I remember that he/she
used Xanadu.orc &.sco.  Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyways I did my benchmark on that particular orc&sco (available on
ftp://ftp.musique.umontreal.ca/pub/mirrors/dream/documentation/orchestras+scores/instruments/kung.0/).

So here's a little result:

PowerPC 7200/120, 48Mb of RAM:

xanadu generation time on:

MacOS 8.0    -   8'24"
MkLinux      -   6'28"
