I've downloaded the 3.8 driver, will try compiling it this weekend. My
hardware is flaky these days: I've had a lot of problems compiling the
kernel, loads of SIG11s, so either my hard disk or RAM is headed south.

Larry, thanks for the tip. Am I correct in assuming you had to make no
other code changes, either to the kernel or Csound ? Btw, I haven't
forgotten about organizing the real-time messages, I just haven't had
the time, but it'll happen.
