Believe me, I did not want to do it.

Of course, you are completely right with "s" instead of "ss".
But umlaut is a problem for me. Sometimes I'm writing in
russian (imagine!) so I must to use a special Windows 
codepage for cyrillic letters. I know how the    
B  ö  s  e  n  d  o  r   f  e  r
you sent me must looks like, but the joke is that I see 
a russian letter (don't know how to describe  this one...)  instead of
umlaut. I even tried to add German as a third language but did not
get more than cyrillic letters instead of some latin (english).
It's really great that at last I have  word  
B  ö  s  e  n  d  o  r  f  e  r 
because now it's possible just to "Copy-Paste"... and no problems! 
(yes, I had no chance to sit in front of one. My modest piano was made 
in 1895 and it's name is "C. Goetze. St. Petersburg". By the way,
not long ago Richard Boulange wrote to List that 
B  ö  s  e  n  d  o  r   f   e  r 's
samples are not public domain. Well, I can offer samples 
of "C. Goetze. St. Petersburg" (joke). Anyway there is no problem with
writing.).

But still I can't relax. I'd like to write some words in Spanish to my
friend
from Madrid. So, can anybody, please, send me a letter 'n' with
the ~ above?  
But my dream is if somebody correct ugly English  in my messages
(by red pencil) and send them back to me.
It's only a dream, of course. Because work like this surely cost too much
:-(

Now, that's misspelling number 7 (I counted!) of this name.
For all of you who have never sat in front of one, be it 
known that the piano lid says in big (ugly) letters

    B  ö  s  e  n  d  o  r  f  e  r

Not Bossendorfer or Bosendrofer or all the other variants. The
thingy with the two dots on it is an O umlaut.  It is pronounced
like the "eu" in french "bleu".

Just to lessen the degree of ignorance in the world :)
