Welcome to the Algorithmic Composition [algo-comp] mailing list.  This 
list has been created in order to provide a forum for issues concerning 
the creation of musical compositions using algorithmic processes.  Some 
examples of topics for discussion include:

*  specific works and composers
*  implementation of algorithms
*  philosophical and aesthetic issues 

Off-topic:

*  general computer music questions (e.g.  "What's the best notation 
   package for a Mac")
*  general synth questions (e.g. "What's the best synth for under $1,000")
*  flamewars
