Some thoughts on this thread...

The most mileage I've gotten has been from:

1) CRC Standard Curves and Surfaces (2- and 3-D pictorials with the 
corresponding equations), and

2) Anything I can find in Dover (especially for finite group theory). 
Cheap too.
