LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN MUSIC

Salary: £13,871 - £28,516
We are keen to attract a lecturer specialising in electroacoustic music to
contribute to teaching, research and administration. The Department is the
largest in the country and has a strong record in teaching (rated *excellent*
by HEFCE) and in research (RAE rating 4).
Electroacoustic music is taught to undergraduates on the BMus and BA degrees as
well as forming an integral part of the BA/BSc (Hons) Music Technology pathway.
At postgraduate level electroacoustic music is offered on the taught MA as
well for MPhil and PhD research degrees.
The Department has a strong international record in research and composition in
computer music. A team of six full-time researchers/composers are currently
working on a variety of projects in this area. The studio facilities are among
the best in the country. Close links with the Huddersfield Contemporary Music
Festival contribute to the stimulating environment.
