| Friends,
I have just uploaded a new VISORC.ZIP file to my Website which contains
the (working this time) installation for Visual Orchestra. Sorry for
those who have downloaded past versions which failed to install, I'm
confident you will be pleased with the new features and Debugging I have
been doing this week.
Here's what I have added to the program
+ A easier to use unit editing system
+ File load, save are now working. Files can be exchanged easily between
users.
+ 'Load As Unit' option condenses a saved instrument into a single icon,
excellent for creating complex embedded instruments.
+ Multiple Instruments (instr1, instr2 etc)
+ Generaly faster and more robust code
+ 'Grain' unit
This week I will be working to produce detailed documentation for these
and other features of Visorc for my hand-in deadline in the middle of June
:) Until then, the readme file at the website will help you get started.
One problem I can foresee might be caused by having a different version of
CSound.exe to the one I used when developing. I used Gabriel
Maldonado's version and am unsure as to whether anything else will work,
but by all means give them a go.
Also, if demand is as concentrated and large as when I first released the
ZIP I will have to temporarily remove the ZIP from the site. My ISP sets a
100Mb per day limit and going over this limit again will spell big trouble,
so if the ZIP file isn't at the site, try again tomorrow. If all
goes well I will put the program on another, more leniant site on Monday.
Thanks for your interest, please keep sending me your comments and
details of any bugs you find and I'll be able to update the program in the
future.
