| Regarding interpeting the emails of "integer".
For once I am breaking the general rule of silence which is observed
about "integer", "antiorp", "f1f0@m9ndfukc.com" or whatever he calls
himself.
My method of interpretation is that the first rule in my mail sorting
system looks for his email addresses and moves the matching posts to
mailbox "misc/crap". Since April, 685 messages have accumulated
there - all from him - 2.6 megabytes.
This keeps those posts out of the sorted mailboxes for Csound, Music
DSP and any other list he posts to.
Nonetheless, (using Netscape Communicator) his posts are visible in my
In tray when new mail arrives and until I "compact" the In tray.
Very occasionally I look at one of his posts, just to see if there is
anything informative, comprehensible or on-topic. Every time, I am
disappointed.
This person is actually capable of writing a proper English sentence.
He wrote one for me when I wrote to him once - but characteristically
it was not a helpful sentence at all.
If he was interested in being informative or communicative, he would
have his own web site with whatever it is that he wants to communicate
made reasonably accessible. (His current site features a sick looking
stuffed toy and the word "shh" - and there are no links to anything
else. An AltaVista search on "www.god-emil.dk" finds various pages
there which may or may not be of value to someone other than himself.
Such a search also indicates how many other mailing lists he posts his
stuff to.)
This is evidently not his motivation. By posting over a thousand
emails a year to various mailing lists (this is just Csound, soundhack
and Music DSP), he is able to insert himself into the minds of a
thousand or so people to some extent.
Maybe some of his posts are on topic. Maybe some people enjoy them.
In my experience his signal to noise ratio is 0%.
Mailing lists are delicate things, involving the collective attention
of hundreds or thousands of people whose time and attention is
precious. Antiorp evidently gets a thrill out of making a nuisance of
himself on mailing lists.
Anyone who consistently posted crap like this to a list I administered
would find themselves barred. Mailing list guidelines are there for
good purpose and those who deliberately flout them by trying to upset
people with off-topic material, for instance of a political or
pseudo-political nature, are detracting seriously from the value of
the list. Their actions cause people to waste time and perhaps to
leave the list.
I remember two years ago or so when he first entered a list (Music DSP
I think) a few people protested saying he had been doing the same
thing to other DSP lists and that it had caused wasted time and people
to leave.
I think that Antiorp/Integer etc. will enjoy the fact that I wrote at
length about him - so I caution against taking seriously any complaint
he raises. I won't read or respond to anything he writes in response,
because in all my experience, his postings have been designed to
frustrate the reader. Read them and he wins. A cessation of his
barrage would be the only thing which indicates to me that he has
grown up.
I do not wish to generate lengthy discussion, but I want to state
clearly that I think these lists would be best served by trying to
prevent such postings.
This is not censorship. The lists have a purpose, and Antiorp
deliberately works against that purpose. He is perfectly capable of
starting a list to discuss Csound, DSP or whatever plus the things he
refers to in his posts.

More likely it is two hands wanking and the nose bobbing around
orgiastically on the keyboard as he thrills at the thought of the the
thousands of bright and sensitive minds he inserts himself into -
confounding, annoying, occupying and leaving his mark with his
emissions.
Read his posts - and he wins.
