Ditto Richard Dobson's points re: the chaos is already there.
A few interesting articles/sites/pieces you might want to check out:

Gary Lee Nelson (in general); he has a website, but can't remember the URL.
Fractal Mountains is probably his most indicative piece of music (availible
on Computer Music Currents - Wergo label). Has also written several articles
including 'Sonomorphs: An Application of Genetic Algorithms to the Growth
and Development of Musical Organisms' and 'Wind, Sand, and Sea Voyages: An
Application of Granular Synthesis and Chaos to Musical Compostition' ;
http://www-ks.rus.uni-stuttgart.de/people/schulz/fmusic/gnelson.html .
email: FNELSON@oberlin.edu

The article 'Fractals, Chaos, and Music' (sorry don't have details);
http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~swickape/fmusic.html

'Composing with Chaos: Applications of a New Science for Music' by David
Clark Little; http://www.xs4all.nl/~19521952/dcl/

there are more, but these are the ones which spring to mind (there are
several dedicated websites). There are also many more articles in research
journals - it's a very big area!

I hope this is useful,
