You need to include a sample of your .orc and .sco files for us to be
able to see what is really happening.

SubjectIntroduction of a newbie
My name is Darren Landrum. I've been into electronic composition for a
number of years, and I recently discovered computer composition via
CSound and Reality from Seer Systems, which I own. My interest is to
learn how to use CSound in conjunction with Reality, other
software-based synths, and hard-disk recording, as I have given up on
the idea of an ideal synth and decided that a component-based system is
the way to go. I'm working toward buying a Pentium Pro 200, and I plan
on using my AMD 5x86-133 for hard-disk recording (in the meantime, I'm
running Reality and CSound on my brother's K6 233 MMX with Win95). Now
for some questions:

I've been having a problem getting Winsound to run properly on my
system. It doesn't seem to want to compile anything (it goes for a few
seconds, than tells me it's done). When I tried the same orc/sco files
with the DOS version of CSound, it seemed to work fine right up to the
point when I tried to play the wave file and found out it had absolutely
nothing in it (it was thirteen megs of nothing). Any help would be
appreciated.

Please forgive this lengthy email.

Sincerely,
Darren Landrum
