The Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS)
presents the 1997 SEAMUS AudioClip Web Concert.
Fifteen works, of a VERY wide range of styles and aesthetics, all under
two minutes in length, by SEAMUS composers, for your listening pleasure
on the net. The concert will be available over the Internet from
November 1-20, 1997.
You can hear the AudioClip Web Concert at:
http://comp.music.lsu.edu/seamus/audioclips/
To listen to the concert, you will need RealPlayer, a free streaming
audio application available for Macintosh, PC or Unix computers, and an
internet connection through an Internet Service Provider. Connections
which use 28k modems or slower will hear AM quality sounds in mono.
Connections at 56k or faster will hear FM quality stereo. If you use
RealPlayerPlus (not free), your 28k connection will also play in stereo
(see the audioclip web site for links to RealPlayer).
The SEAMUS AudioClip Web Concert is being presented as part of the first
ElectroAcoustic Music Week, an international celebration of electronic
and computer music organized by SEAMUS. EA Music Week (Nov 2-14, 1997)
is coordinating 27 concerts, lectures, radio broadcasts and panel
discussions through out the US, Canada and Argentina. The EA Music Week
web site contains a searchable database of all scheduled events.
You can find out more about EA Music Week at:
