Well, 'deferred alloc' is what happens when
one reads an AIFF file, but this is done with
GEN01, not GEN06. In any case, if you are
trying to read an AIFF file, then I believe
that your file is horribly corrupted. All
of the funny characters should be four-letter
words like COMM, SSND, MARK, INST, and soforth.
sndinfo may tell you what you have, and sox
may be able to coax the file into something
known to csound. Basef will plunder the
secrets of AIFF files:
