| Hello List,
thanks a lot for the interest for my upcomming program. Here some answers to
general questions:
I will release the first version in 1 or 2 weeks, sorry when I have confused
you, but on my websites you will find nothing about it.
It is the first step just including a visual editor for each participating
harmonic, which is on one hand very precise, I hope :), but a heavy way to
alter the files. Upcomming versions will include additional modules which can
handle the file as a whole. I have a lot of ideas which can be done with these
files like a vocoder which takes some values from one to another file,
something like the KAWAIsh 'Formant' filter thing they include in the K5XXXx
synths, which should of course morph and much more (but so less time...).
It will load and save the *.ads files the hetrodyne module of csound produces,
I don't have the time and knowledge to program analyses on my own, so far...
The software will programmed on Windows because I only have Wintel machines
around (someone to give me an Apple outthere?). Ok, I have setup Linux on my
old PC, but no knowledge of programming XWindows. I have no Mac but would like
to port because I don't like Apple to disappear -> I come from a time where
several homecomputers were on the market without compatibility, I liked those
times a lot, now only a few systems rules, it is somehow boring.
An idea would be to port it to Java according to a recent thread on the CSOUND
list, a later version will be done, ok? I prefered native C++ because of
excessive use of GUI and performance...and a warm up for a forthcomming
gameproject later this year. But I can program also JAVA so why not...
I will keep this list informed first,
CU,
Malte Steiner
