I have executables running under DOS or Windows 95 which able convert
text-to-midi.
Here are brief description by author - Piet van Oostrum.
I think You can reach him directly - piet@cs.ruu.nl , because version I have
is dated by 8/25/1992,
so more  advanced version is quite possible.
And I can mail 'old version'.

MF2T/T2MF
Two programs to manipulate standard midifiles.
mf2t is a program that reads a standard midifile (format 0 or 1)
and writes an ASCII representation of it that is both compact
and easily parsable.

i just tested downloading it with nescrape, seems ok.

for those asleep in class, this is a mac midi to text convertor (and vice
versa) to a simple tab delimited format.
