As for the the public-domainityismness of these,
I'm not sure.  I ripped them out of a patch set
for a synth (Korg I think?) that I found available
on the internet.  Surely one is able to sell the
music that one creates with these synthesizers,
but does that mean that you have to own the synth
in order to do so?
