Which registry does Winsound refer to? I will be able to try changing it
directly.
And, does it allow long file names and spaces surrounded with double
quotations for both a text editor and associated files?

Winsound uses winsound.ini in the Windows folder

Editor can be unset by right button in dialog background (I think it
was)

Not sure about the other questions.
