Hi,
     I recently tried to run phase-vocoder analysis from winsound & found
that it does not work unless you accept the defaults for window size &
overlap. If I try to enter these parameters, I get an error in all recent
versions of  winsound (going back to 3.491), except for 3.54, which works
correctly.

Can you give more details?  I just ran winsound with a Wind factor of
5, and it ran OK. Similarly if I set a hopsize.  What error did you get?
