There is a book by F. Richard Moore called "Elements of Computer Music",
which includes information about cmusic.  The book is published by
Prentice Hall in 1990 (ISBN 0-13-252552-6).  I bought in 1990, I don't
know if it's still available.

One impression I have from cmusic is that it doesn't have an active user
community in the sense that Csound has one, and that it doesn't really
evolve at the moment.  A reason for me to ignore it.  The book is
interesting though, in particular for people who want to implement their
own stuff.
