can anyone tell me what the -PIPES compilation option does ?
i am hoping it allows a udp or tcp connection of some kind
that can allow a score generator to communicate over a
comunication port with the csound synthesis engine
and allow distributed processing client/server
i cant find anything in the faq but im guessing that its been done
and heaps of people are doing it ....
any help appreciated

Sorry to disappoint. It refers to the -i and -o options, which allow a file name starting with a | to mean a process. Originally for mpeg compression/decompression. What do you want ? I am open to suggestions if enoght people want/need some facility =John |
