I used to always drool over the latest synthesizers on the market but knew I
could not really justify spending $1000-$2000 for a new synth every month.
After discovering Csound I read about all the new synths, plug-ins and
effects processors and think "Csound can do that only better and without the
limitations."

Csound can do so much more than what a software or synth manufacturer thinks
you might want to do.  You are only limited by your own imagination not by
someone elses.
