| There is provision for loops in WAV files; there is a chunk
(vintage 1993 originated by Digidesign, Sonic Foundry and Turtle Beach)
carrying most of the needed information, with a secondary chunk optional
for textual data (associated-data-list - CDP uses this for
proprietary property fields). I have a small html file from the MS
documentation (28K zipped), which I can send one way or another. I found
it by searching the MSDN Online Library (supplied on a CD-Rom with VC++
V.5) with the keyword RIFF - the full title is in fact "New WAVE RIFF
Chunks".
