Hmm. I just went to my [t]rusty old HTML manual for version 3.53, and I
noticed that the description of the Unified File Format is either
missing or well hidden. However, various release notes seem to indicate
that this feature was introduced at version 3.50.

The files are dated April 14 and I think I got it from Bath, although I
can't verify this, since the ftp server seems to be down at the moment.

Not a big deal, since the new manual just announced seems to have this
info in it. But I just thought I'd mention this in case you guys are
maintaining manuals for non-current versions. Just another minor nit:
this version of the manual doesn't include the email addresses of who to
contact in case of problems (or maybe it does, and I didn't see it). For
example, I don't have Jean Piche's address handy, so I couldn't include
it on this email (he's listed as the editor).
