SubjectCecilia for Mac Update (7.5b1)
 Hello all...

A little update for Cecilia on the Mac:

** Version 1.75b1 (23/07/97) for PowerMac

This is a maintenance release, fixing little things that are being
 reported. Most importantly:

	- Cecilia properly handles the absence of a user name in the
	"sharing setup" control panel

	- the Console is now hidden, to reduce cluttering and confusion
	(you don't need it anyway)

	- fixed a small bug which made some file paths wrong

	- fixed another bug which caused, under some circonstances,
numbers like 10.344556.6 to be generated.

	- fixed the .orc/.sco importation which did not work at all...

It is not necessary to download the whole package again, only the libs
(93k). Trash your current "lib" folder and replace with:

 	ftp://ftp.musique.umontreal.ca/pub/cecilia_lib1.75b1.sit.bin

The complete package has been updated to:

  	ftp://ftp.musique.umontreal.ca/pub/cecilia1.75b1.sit.bin

SubjectIf you want to know who is Cecilia.
I was wondering the other day who was that beautiful woman in the splash
screen of the Cecilia program. Last Sunday, I went to visit my parents, and
since I wanted to see Leonardo Da Vinci´s Last Supper painting, I took one
of the fantastic books of art that my father has. I saw the painting, of
course, but I saw also Cecilia Gallerani, also a Leonardo painting (circa
1485-1490, Czartoryski Museeum, Cracovia, Poland).
A coincidence?
Saludos from Canary Islands.

Hmmm... it's not a coincidence, but we would not have thought of it by
ourselves; we owe that iconographic reference to Tobias Kunze...
