i was actually just 2 minutes ago getting the same thing while using the
'Aaron' and 'AppleVision' extensions (i didnt take the time to figure out
which does which, but at least one changes the graphics to the
copland/OS8-like interface. checking in the debugger, after leaving the
standard get file dialog (an OS Toolbox call) csound just quits
unexpectantly.

could you be running something like that?

I have posted a new version of Silence, my algorithmic composition system
for Windows, to:

http://www.pipeline.com/~gogins

This version, 2.2, fixes some bugs and makes some changes in the WCsound
front end for Csound.

My plug-in build of Csound now includes all sources and opcodes up to John
Fitch's version 3.45.

WCsound was not properly translating MIDI pitches to Csound. This has been
fixed.

WCsound's score display now more clearly distinguishes the instruments by
color.

WCsound now stores its "osc" combined orchestra-score files as
hierarchical, tag-delimited text files, similar to HTML files. This enables
the composer to recover or edit any part of the osc file, including the
standard Csound score and orchestra files embedded therein, using an
ordinary word processor or text editor. WCsound will read the old binary
format osc files and save them in the new format. In the future, all the
algorithmic composition programs will also use tag-delimited text files.

I have added some new instruments to template.osc, and improved a few of
the old ones. In the future, I will include high-quality samples for
sampling instruments, starting with a Steinway grand piano, in a separate
archive.

If you wish I would like to start up a Csound section to my homepage I
have only recently made it and hence it is very basic but I do have a fair
bit of newwork space so if you want I'll publish the software here I would
love to help.

You could send me the software my either emailing if to me or snail mail

My present 'basic' homepage address is

http://www.york.ac.uk/~rh113/

I'll be updating it some time this week
