I am looking for the Music V source code. I searched the web, but no
success. Does anybody on this list have an idea where this code is
available? Thanks,
John Gather

Hi again,

For those 200+ people who have downloaded the software from my
website, thankyou, I'm glad there is such an interest in this area. I
have emailed responses to those who wrote to me explaining the error
which prevents the program from loading and I am sending the same
message here to inform those who also downloaded.

By Monday evening I hope to have an updated EXE on the same site which
will remove this error however there is a workaround which you can try
until then. Its quite simple but you should only do it if you know what
you are doing with the System Registry.

Open REGEDIT.EXE, the system registry editor and

expand

        'HKEY_USERS'
and '.Default' (notice the full stop)
and 'Software'

create a new key called

VB and VBA Program Settings (note spacing and capitalisation)

within that key create another key

        Visual Orchestra 1.1

Within that key create another key

        startup

Select this key and in the right-side pane click the right mouse button
in the space beneath the word (Default). Select 'New/String Value' and a
new line is added to the list. Repeat this process 4 more times until
you have a total of 5 new items below the (default) line.

Now by clicking on each line in turn with the right mouse button, fill
in the 'Name' and 'Data' fields of each item as indicated by the table
below. YOU MUST SUBSTITUTE THE DRIVE AND DIRECTORY YOU INSTALLED THE
PROGRAM INSTEAD OF c:\visorc\..etc..

Name . . Data

(Default) (Value not set)
commandline "1010" (COMMENT : ones and zeros)
CSpath "c:\visorc" (COMMENT : put your path here)
orcname "Test"
orcpath "C:\visorc\orc" (COMMENT : you need to add \orc
to the end)
wavpath "C:\visorc\wav" (COMMENT : you need to add \wav
to the end)

Quit the system registry and the program should load without problems.
I have tried this on another machine and it was fine. I shall endeavor
to produce a working EXE before monday.

C'est La Vie...Thanks,

dp

updated to cover v 3.46, at

   http://hem.passagen.se/rasmuse/cshlp346.zip (258 kB)

Here's a summary of the documentation omissions I've found:

1) kdump[2|3|4] quietly added some time ago?
2) voscili docs missing (3.44), as recently mentioned.
3) midisetb mentioned in the 3.46 overview,
midictrlsc documented later in the notes,
neither is in the exe (sources)

cheers,
	r

Just a mention on the midi functions. midisetb is not an opcode,
only an initialization for the various xxxmidib functions that are
opcodes. I believe John mistakenly listed it in the changelog as an
opcode. midictrlsc is in the PPC version, and I mailed the code to John,
so if it is not there then it is an omission.
