SubjectEasier manual
For a little while now I've been trying to make sense of the manual and
tutorial that came with the csound distribution, and there are a lot of
terms and things they don't explain very well. I was wondering if anyone
else has written a manual or tutorial that is easier to understand, or
any other things I should read first before I do read the manual
further, since I'm new to the technical aspects (and some not to
technical aspects) of synths in general.

Is there an editor (pref. for Linux) that allows
this? Also, is it so that csound will not handle
AIFF-C files? MiXViews will read AIFF, but
write only AIFF-C.

Dear all:

I am trying to download compiled csound utilities for IRIX 6.3 but I was
only able to find one executable csound from
ftp://ftp.maths.bath.ac.uk/pub/dream/
but I cannot find other utilities. In the FAQ it says I should be able
to download ftp://kunze.stanford.edu/pub/csound-irix6.2.tar.gz
but it is out-dated "The requested URL could not be retrieved". I am
specifically looking for scot. I wonder where I can find one.

Thank you very much!

Dear friends
I wonder if you can help me.
At present I have Csound version 3.29 and I can't use new opcodes (ie
diskin, granule). I'd like to have an update version for DOS system.
Does anybody know where I can find a version 3.46 for DOS?
Thanks in advance
Bye
Giuseppe Rapisarda

I usually read the manual several times then try some simple experiments to
figure out what the opcode really does. Also there are a lot of examples
floating around.

Good Luck,
