Well...... at present there are two lists with essentially teh same membership
list. When we are sure that the new lists works (I am actually) the idea was
to switch off teh Exeter list, leaving a forwarding address. At that stage
teh new list woudl be the real one. I thought we were going to do that
last Monday, but perhaps it was next Monday (James? am I more confused than
usual?)
I am not sure if that answers the question.

Hi
I don't think having the list software modify the subject is a very good
idea. It is just annoying, and it causes problems. Any decent mail
software can use other headers for filtering.

Dear fellow Csounders,
I think there was some discussion about bugs in foutir before the 3.59
release, so sorry if this has already been answered.
Here's the problem: I had an orc/sco pair working with the "foutir"
opcode the last time I used Csound, and did my first conversion from midi
to a score that way, no problem.
Now, I'm trying to do it again with another midifile, and I have changed
the name of the output scorefile, and all Csound does is create the
scorefile, but doesn't write anything to it.
After calculating the frequencies with cpstmid and compiling a .wav file,
Csound pauses and asks for me to type a character to continue.
When I do this, it displays the following for a split second before
closing:
0 (chngrng.sco):
or something very similar.
I am using a 486 with Windows95 and Winsound3.59

hi Michael,
Cecilia 2.0.2 contains a pretty complete compressor/limiter/expander
module... You could extract it fairly easily.
Alex B. programmed it a few years back.. work well for us!

I'm afraid I like the addition. It is quite common with other mailing
lists and probably done automatically by the list server.

Yes, it does answer up to a point. I think you mean that Exeter will be the
list and bath will be phased out.
However, I would like clear instructions on transferring/subscribing or
whatever.
Many thanks,

Hi Jean,
I have been wanting to ask you if you plan to port Cecilia to the
Wintel environment? I got a chance to work with Cecilia last summer in
Crested Butte (we were sorry you could not make it there) and really like=
d
it. I can't seem to get Linux to work with my sound card. I believe it is
because I can't disable plug and play on my motherboard. Anyway I was
curious.
Thanks,
Michael Rhoades

No I mean the opposite; the Bath list is new and Exeter should be
phased out.
There is no need for any transfer; James sent me a complete list and I
registered them all. The message I sent earlier gave the various
commands to leave, retrieve old messages etc.
I will be setting up an integrated digest version asap.
