that is the kind of thing I was thinking of; I just do not know any
tcl/tk, and I feel at least an example application is needed. You
will see that the required interface-protocol is very simple --
initialise controlled n, read controlled n and set controlled n.
Any Unix/X hackers willing to try to refine this?

I like the concept; now there is the application.

First, do not use Csound95.exe.
You have 3 sane choices (IMO)
1) Run in console mode and use csound_con.zip
2) Want realtime response so use Gabriel Maldonado's system
3) Conservative, but GUI, use csound_win.zip
I suspect that moving to Michael Gogin's system is sane too, but I
have not tried it, and others can comment.
When you say the output is distorted, do you mean always or when in
realtime? If the latter you need to fiddle with -b and -B flags,
maybe.

Sorry to disappoint, but teh other Mac system is the one I
occasionally build, and as far as I am aware is still the only one for
68K-Mac. My version s a direct descendent of the Paris-MIT code. It
uses the same sources as Matt uses (I hope!)

Hey Guys,
I have been out of the Csound loop for awhile. I wanted to know where I
could get a copy of Real-time Csound for a Power Mac G3. I hope
everyone is doing well.
Thanks in advance,

Can I recommend Tom Erbe's comprehensive list of useful programs for mac users :
computer music programs . macintosh
at :
http://shoko.calarts.edu/~tre/CompMusMac/index.html
It contains the ftp address for the latest version of Csound for mac, as well
as many other intriguing mac music applications in both the real and non-real
time fields. Concise descriptions of each package are provided.
If you do download any music non-freeware (Tom's or otherwise), please pay for
it - the prices are very reasonable considering what you get, and the work
that goes into development.
