| Hmm, interesting - but just how 'multi-channel' is it? can Csound appear
as a quad-friendly 'device' to the wave editor?

For what reason we have not to use score macros? I find them very useful in score file.
Pheraps are you referring to C language macros?

The unofficial 3.50.0.0a distribution of linux csound is available from
the AIMI server
ftp://musart.dist.unige.it/pub/CSOUND/csound-3.50.0.0a-*.tar.gz
in binary form (dynamically linked), binary form w/o X11 support (dynamically
linked) and source form.
*THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTION*
The official distribution can be found at
ftp://ftp.maths.bath.ac.uk/pub/dream/newest. The official 3.50 sources
are of course the hard work of J.P.Fitch (jpff@maths.bath.ac.uk).
This distribution features a merged port of the official 3.50 sources
and all the previous enhancements. Also, Damien Miller (the provider
of the csound-unix-dev@ilogic.com.au list) has started a bug-report system
using jitterbug, a very nice web-based bug-report system. You may have
a look at it by linking to http://www.ilogic.com.au/cgi-bin/csound-bugs.
I hope this will help us keeping track of known bugs :).
Many have contributed in useful comments and hints.
Thanks to all,
Enjoy.

I fully second the motion, even though I just had to convert an inline
function into a macro to re-install in the unofficial linux distribution
a mod that was removed in pitchbend handling (needed to check pointer
validity). Macros are extremely weak and lead to hard-to-find bugs...

Subject: [OFF TOPIC] MIDI over TCP/IP?

Hi,
Sorry for the (slightly) off topic, but does anybody know of an app for
win95/NT (and hopefully unix) that allows MIDI to be piped over a
TCP/IP network?
Would like to play csound on one machine from a sequencer on another
without hogging physical MIDI connections/ports.
Surely such a app exists?
Ta,
