if you have '0' skiptime and negative kpitch, then none of the file will
be read. You can turn on the 'wraparound' flag, or if you want to just
play the complete file backwards set the 'skiptime' to the end of the
file.
but there is a BUG in that you need to set the 'skiptime' (or at least
progress forwards into the file)
one sample's worth for the backwards 'wraparound' to work.
maybe you tried all the above. if so, please let me know.

Hello!
I would just like to tell you about a really small program I've made.
If you want to play on csound instruments in realtime but don't have
a external MIDI keyboard connected, it can be quite handy. It lets
you use your computer keyboard as a synth keyboard to send MIDI
events to a program, like csound, or a device of file. A bit like in
a tracker program.
It's written for a GNU/Linux system, uses a ncurses interface and is
free under the GPL. Get it at http://www.sdf.se/~simon/midikb.html,
or directly at http://www.sdf.se/~simon/dl/midikb-0.1.tar.gz.

There's some discussion of this in the archives -- search for "double"
and you'll find a lot of muttering about hacking Csound's internal
precision... One approach is to do the phase integration analytically
rather than numerically, if this is appropriate for your application.
