SubjectExample of Direct2.1 bug(?)
Hi Gabriel and Csounders,

About a week ago I reported something weird with DirectCsound2.1
It seemed to ignore an unidentified argument in compilation.
I found a few minutes since then to see if I could construct a
simple code that would demonstrate this :

;--ORC--------------------------
sr     = 44100
kr     = 4410
ksmps  = 10
nchnls = 1

instr 1
asig   oscili 25000,440,1
aout   = asig + anothing
       out aout
endin

;--SCO--------------------------
f1 0 4096 10 1

f0 600
e

I hope this helps.

Hi Jamie,
    CPM was the operating system that was in use before Microsoft's DOS. If
IBM and Digital Reserch (CPM) didn't have difference Microsoft wouldn't be
where it is.
    Anyway, Microsoft's DOS contains most of the CPM structure.

Dear Sean and Rasmus!
Thanks for your answers and for help.
Not long ago I got to know about Theremin Center in Moscow and began to
attend
it. I've heard some of J.C. Risset's compositions there and guessed about
it's possible connections with Csound.
I'm glad to report the URL of Theremin Center's site (in English):
http://postman.ru/~xmedia/theremin/ . (maybe somebody knows
about it already).

Hello,

The shepard noise works well unless you have forgotten to "full" the soundin.6
that is on the f table 3 in the score. You have to create a sound file with a
symmetric bell like enveloppe or something similar.
You'll see that silence is gone anymore. That is something we tend to forget
in electronic music composition: silence.

BTW, you can hear you processing in real time without saving on a sound file
by using the -o dac flags.

Yours,
