You can always do something like e(x)-e(-x)/2... (I don“t remember the
exact relationship). Some other stuff is more important, like
n-dimensional variables.

Hello,

For those of you using PPC Macs, check out MetaSynth at :
http://www.uisoftware.com/PAGES_FLASH/ms_presentation.html. It's not
Csound, I know, but it uses graphics to produce sound. I have not used this
program, but would be interested in knowing the opinions of anyone who has
any experience with it.

I must have the old version.

It makes it a bit of a chore to code a wrap around at least the way I did
it. Perhaps there is an easier way?

Message written at 21 Dec 1997 19:21:22 +0000

I have placed files Csound_68k_beta.Hqx and Csound_881_beta.Hqx on
ftp://ftp.maths.bath.ac.uk/pub/dream/platforms/mac

These are latest Beta test for 3.47, which is nearing completion (I am
delighted to say!).

Also .....platforms/pc/Beta1.zip is a new Windows version, with the
revised GUI.

As some of the new opcodes need some impulses and pluck excitements, I
have created a new directory pub/dream/documentation/sounds/modelling
in which I have placed some useful waves.

Errors and problems to me please as soon as possible.
