Are not the -b and -B flags available from the command line? They are
supposed to be, and it worked last time I tried. I was not aware of
the -p flag until your message, and it appears in the MAC code
section. That does seem like a minor oddity. The Windows
play-on-finish system is not available from the command line. Will
see about fixing.

Jim,
I guess you don't need windows to view postscript. I guess I just started
getting into windows. I hated windows since my first real operating system
was CPM running on a Kpro at 1or 2mhz. When dos came out I hated that too.
When windows 3.1 came out I quit.
I guess sometime you must change. Now if I could run CPM at 400Mhz wow!
Anyway I'm starting to get used to windows98 and now I have ghostreader It
automaticly opens my .ps files in my word processor.(word)
Chill,
Chazzz

The -b and -B flags are available through the *Extra* dialog box only.
The -p flag is not available through either the Extra dialog nor through
the command line. At least not at the present...

It doesn't replace linenr: it is possible to include it together with release/xtratim
pair. The total length of the note will be the most large among the extension related
opcodes. However I suggest you to use release/xtratim opcodes only in the cases you have
to do some strange things during the release phase. If you only need a simple exponential
release to 0, I suggest to use linenr & company.

Hi,
I got winsound to compile. Looks like some of Maldonado's code is missing
from the distribution. I had to comment out a bunch of his opcodes. The
Slider stuff is also missing and I had to comment that out too. I
recompiled with Irix 6.51 and had to make a few changes. I think a couple
of Dos 's are in the code which the new Irix complains about as well as
a couple of other things.
Regards,
Hans Mikelson

Hello,
I have a considerable background in the M360
ancestor of Csound. While much is the same and accordingly
I've been able to translate and expand a fair amount of my old
stuff (dating back to 1982), there are a few things that don't
seem to have a ready equivalent, at least without a lot of grunt
work. Sooooo, it seems that a more efficient way is to ask
whether any antediluvians recall the old Gen01, Gen13, & Gen03,
subroutines, and what might be their best substitutes in Csound.
I have been able to utilize the "new" Gen05, Gen06, Gen08, and
Gen09, Gen10, but am most concerned with getting something to do
the equivalent of the old Gen01, inter alia.
So, if anyone recalls and can point me where to grub
I'll be very grateful.
Thanks and good Luck to All,
Jeff Hall

Hi,
Im afraid I cannot understand the way your opcodes
schedule inst, iwhen, idur, ....
schedwhen ktrigger, kinst, kwhen, kdur, ....
are supposed to work.
schedule always triggers the instrument when it is called, no matter the
iwhen parameter. Also, if I put a schedule opcode inside a timout/reinit
statement to trigger an instrument several times strange things happen: it
seems that from the third activated event they are not turn off after idur.
Schedwhen seems even more strange to me, as it hangs Csound when ktrigger >
0 , no matter kwhen.
Any help would be greatly welcome!! Im very excited with these new opcodes!
Thancks again in advance!!!!

Hi,
I=B4m afraid I cannot understand the way your opcodes
schedule inst, iwhen, idur, ....
schedwhen ktrigger, kinst, kwhen, kdur, ....
are supposed to work.
schedule always triggers the instrument when it is called, no matter the
iwhen parameter. Also, if I put a schedule opcode inside a timout/reinit
statement to trigger an instrument several times strange things happen: i=
t
seems that from the third activated event they are not turn off after idu=
r.
Schedwhen seems even more strange to me, as it hangs Csound when ktrigger=
>
0 , no matter kwhen.
Any help would be greatly welcome!! I=B4m very excited with these new opc=
odes!
Thancks again in advance!!!!

I have found that AXCsound will register, load, and run repeatedly until
there is a problem that causes the program to abort. After that, the program
will not run again until the computer is rebooted.
This seems to be fairly consistent behavior on my computers (both running
Windows 95). I have uploaded the build I tested to my home page.
By the way, I have decided not to go ahead and implement a Csound version of
the ActiveMovie or DirectSound plugin at this time because I would rather
compose than program, and I also need to maintain the software I have
already written. Since AXCsound is open source software, I encourage anyone
else who is interested to adapt my code for this purpose. Or I may take this
up again in the future.

I=B4m sorry to raise the question once and again, but... I wonder if any
of the MIDI experts in this list have managed to recognize MIDI pitch
bend messages from a MIDI file in a Csound instrument. A orc/sco/mid
file would be greatly appreciated.
I=B4ll send by sure a postcard to the first guy who send me a working
example ;-)
Tnx for all
