openFrameworks API / Bindings?

SubjectopenFrameworks API / Bindings?
Hello everyone,

Though I do not post much anymore, I still read the list regularly.
Great job to all the developers for maintaining such an amazing and
powerful tool! Thank you sincerely for that.

I am so curious I must ask you who are reading this:
Has anyone to your knowledge ever made bindings from Csound to
openFrameworks using the API, or some other means?

Right now I am using both programs in parallel and simply using an
inter-application bus (e.g. Jack). This works fine for processed
audio, but what about control data? Imagine if you could not only use
the superior audio processing capability of Csound, but its control
data too?

I am starting to see this possibility as a 21st century version of an
idea like CsoundAV by Gabriel Maldonado. openFrameworks is a great
visual toolbox, but the audio processing, playback, and manipulation
has a lot of room to grow. Csound could be a great out-of-box fit, so
I am curious what is out there already before I start grinding the
rust off.

Any hints appreciated!

Cheers,
David

I haven't looked at openframeworks in a long while, but as far as I
know, I haven't seen anyone build a Csound-based addon for it. It
seems like it would be a very nice thing to have, IMO. If there's
interest, I'd suggest we follow the addons guide:

http://ofxaddons.com/pages/howto

and create a repo under the Csound organization on github to host it.
