It seems it isn't fixed....

I opened some older csd files just to try and still appears this message. I ran it in the Term and says (I'm translating it as my computer runs in spanish):

"The system can't find the specified route".

Now this seems awkward, as I have always opened csd files from the program itself and in fact those files that have worked after I changed some configurations in my sound card were opened this way. I can't find a logic in it.

Hello List!

A couple of weeks ago I installed the 0.9.4.1 version on Windows 8.1 Pro (I was up to then using an older version) and ever since I've been dealing with this problem. I can open the program, I can write code but every time I want to run it, the message "Reading CSD failed...stopping" appears. It happens to absolutely ALL my csd files (even the old ones). Tried changing files to other directories. Tried to run it both with the soundcard connected and disconnected.
Does anybody know what I could do to solve it?!

Hi

I had the same problem and could solve the same way, renaming foldres.
Have to ask: I never had to rename folders, it always worked before. Why now it fails?

Other issue, maybe related, My installed ASIO drivers aren't available in CsoundQt anymore. There are issues about?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the report! What concerns the folder names, nothing has changed in CsoundQt code but baybe in Qt framework that is more picky. Please give once again example of an folder name what worked Nd does not amy more I could test.

Can some other Windows user confirm the Asio drivers problem? CsoundQt uses Csound to detect the available drivers but I must check. Can you use Asio with Csound if you run it fromcomman line?

I am away from town and cannot check before a week though...

Andrea  and Tarmo

I wrote the message in a rush and forgot to say thank you appropriately. So please forgive my lack of kindness and here goes:

Thank you fou your attention!

Going further, I checked using the command line and the Asio drivers aren't available.

About the folders name, I used to have a folder structure "Documentos/composições/csound", with the portuguese letters "ç" and "õ". It worked agais when I changed to "Documentos/csound_compositions".

I'm in Windows 10, csound and CsoundQt latest versions.

Cheers!

Tarmo

Hi

I had the same problem and could solve the same way, renaming foldres.
Have to ask: I never had to rename folders, it always worked before. Why now it fails?

Other issue, maybe related, My installed ASIO drivers aren't available in CsoundQt anymore. There are issues about?

Thanks

great to know you could solve it.  and this is certainly no disturbance but can happen to anyone, so potentially helpful to anyone.

enjoy the working version ...

Andrea,

I'm so ashamed to say that you're totally right.... The folder has a

        It seems it isn't fixed....

I opened some older csd files just to try and still appears this
message. I ran it in the Term and says (I'm translating it as my
        computer runs in spanish):

"The system can't find the specified route".

Now this seems awkward, as I have always opened csd files from
the program itself and in fact those files that have worked
after I changed some configurations in my sound card were opened
this way. I can't find a logic in it.

        I'm attatching an image here:

            Tarmo,

Thanks for the answer! I solved it! It had something to do
with the configuration of my sound card (which is new).
            Thanks very much anyway!!!

                    Hello List!

A couple of weeks ago I installed the 0.9.4.1
version on Windows 8.1 Pro (I was up to then using
an older version) and ever since I've been dealing
with this problem. I can open the program, I can
write code but every time I want to run it, the
message "Reading CSD failed...stopping" appears. It
happens to absolutely ALL my csd files (even the old
ones). Tried changing files to other directories.
Tried to run it both with the soundcard connected
                    and disconnected.
Does anybody know what I could do to solve it?!
